All’Event Deck di Los Angeles si è tenuta stanotte (ora italiana) la 73° edizione dei Primetime Emmy Awards, gli “Oscar della televisione” americani. A fare incetta di premi è stata ancora una volta la serie britannica The Crown, la cui quarta stagione ha avuto per protagonista per l’ultima volta Olivia Colman: assieme a lei premiati anche gli interpreti del Principe Filippo, del Principe Carlo e la Margaret Tatcher di Gillian Anderson.

Grande serata anche per Ted Lasso, la storia di un allenatore di football americano che si trasferisce a Londra per allenare una squadra di calcio della Premier League, uscita dalla serata con quattro statuette (su 20 nomination). C’è gloria anche per due attori come Kate Winslet, premiata per Omicidio a Easttown (QUI la recensione) e il magnifico Ewan McGregor della mini-serie Netflix Halston. Due premi anche per The Queen’s Gambit con Anya Taylor-Joy, che nei giorni scorsi è stata denunciata da un ex Gran Maestra di Scacchi.

Niente da fare invece per serie pluri-nominate ma uscite con la bocca asciutta dalla serata principale degli Emmy: parliamo di show come The Mandalorian, Lovecraft Country e WandaVision – che ha avuto maggior riconoscimento ai Creative Arts Emmy 2021.
