Anno 1975, Freddie Mercury non vuole assestarsi su un genere musicale ripetitivo anche se di presa sul pubblico. La EMI, che ha messo sotto contratto i Queen, è preoccupata del fatto che Mercury vuole innovare il più possibile il loro stile attingendo a diversi generi musicali, come l’opera. Ma il genio creativo del vocalist è irrefrenabile e viene realizzato il loro quarto album intitolato A Night at the Opera che aveva come cuore pulsante la canzone Bohemian Rhapsody.

Una curiosità: Per registrala furono necessarie ben tre settimane di lavoro, di cui una intera dedicata esclusivamente alla parte vocale centrale.
