Barbie colpisce ancora! Il film-evento di Greta Gerwig da un miliardo e mezzo di dollari ha tagliato il traguardo di un nuovo record, questa volta relativo ai Critics Choice Awards. 

Il premio, assegnato dall’associazione di critici cinematografici e televisivi americani, composta da oltre 400 membri, ha annunciato oggi le nomination dell’edizione 2024, che vedono sul podio proprio la commedia con Margot Robbie. Barbie si è qualificato con un totale di 18 candidature: non solo è il più nominato dell’anno, ma risulta essere anche la pellicola con più nomination in tutti i 29 anni di storia dei Critics Choice Awards! Precedentemente il record era detenuto da Everything Everywhere All at Once e da La forma dell’acqua, entrambi con 14 nomination nei rispettivi anni di uscita.

Tra i premi per cui concorrerà Barbie ci sono miglior film, miglior regista (Greta Gerwig), miglior attrice (Margot Robbie), miglior attore non protagonista (Ryan Gosling), miglior attrice non protagonista (America Ferrera) e ben tre canzoni originali.

Seguono a ruota Oppenheimer di Christopher Nolan e Povere Creature di Yorgos Lanthimos, entrambi con 13 nomination.

I vincitori dei Critics Choice Awards 2024 verranno annunciati domenica 14 gennaio; in America la cerimonia andrà in onda su The CW, condotta da Chelsea Handler.
