Everything Everywhere All at Once sta sempre più diventando un titolo adatto non solo per il film dei The Daniels, ma anche per descrivere l’incredibile stagione dei premi che sta vivendo. E gli Independent Spirits Awards non hanno fatto altro che confermarlo! Dopo aver trionfato in tutte le principali serate dedicati al mondo dell’industria come PGA, SAG e DGA oltre che ai Critics Choice Awards, ora il “film definitivo sul Multiverso” è lanciatissimo verso la prossima notte degli Oscar.

Nella notte italiana, EEAAO (come viene abbreviato) ha infatti fatto piazza pulita anche dei premi assegnati dal 1986 dall’associazione no profit IFP/West per sostenere il cinema indipendente. Miglior film, regia, tutti gli attori, sceneggiatura e montaggio. Solo Tár è riuscito a impedire un en plein, strappandogli il premio come miglior fotografia. Il risultato premia Daniel Kwan e Daniel Scheinert, oltre a Michelle Yeoh, Ke Huy Quan e Stephanie Hsu, ora pronti a scrivere la storia degli interpreti asiatici anche nella notte più importante dell’anno.

Da segnalare anche la vittoria di Aftersun come Miglior Opera Prima, così come il bis di The Bear nella categoria dedicata ai premi per la televisione: la piccola serie, uscita in Italia su Disney+, conferma il risultato ottenuto anche ai SAG Awards, dove Jeremy Allen White è stato premiato come Miglior Attore.
