Si sono tenuti stanotte a Los Angeles i Teen Choice Award, una cerimonia come sempre frizzante e sbarazzina, un ideale intrattenimento con un giusto collocamento estivo. Ma nonostante la leggerezza globale, c’è stato un momento di forte commozione: quando un emozionato Vin Diesel è salito sul palco per ritirare il premio vinto per Fast & Furious 7 (Choice Movie: Action, il Miglior Film Action).
Accompagnato dalle co-star Ludacris, Michelle Rodriguez e Jordana Brewster, Diesel ha dichiarato: «Non posso stare qui e venir premiato senza parlare di qualcuno molto, molto, molto importante per noi. Una delle migliori benedizioni nelle nostre vite è il fatto che abbiamo l’opportunità di chiamare Pablo fratello. Paul è qui con noi nello spirito». Ha poi citato la figlia di Walker, Meadow: «Una ragazza molto, molto, molto speciale».
L’attore prematuramente scomparso ha vinto il premio postumo come Miglior Attore in un Film Action.
